Message from the Admissions Director

Visitation is an independent, Catholic day school. It was founded by the Sisters of the Visitation in 1873. The school is coeducational through grade 6. Visitation is the only all-girls secondary school, grades 7-12, in Minnesota.

The campus includes a Child Care Center for children six weeks old through age five, a lower school, a middle school and an upper school.

Visitation differs from many private schools in that it is owned by the Sisters of Visitation, who govern it in cooperation with a Board of Trustees. It is supported by tuition and endowments. Visitation seeks students from a variety of socioeconomic, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. Visitation is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States.
