The Spanier Award for Leadership in Sports
Eligibility Criteria
To be a candidate for this award, the student must be:
A senior
In good academic and disciplinary standing.
A three-year participant in at least two Visitation sports.
Award Criteria
The recipient must exhibit to an outstanding degree the following characteristics:
Consistent effort
A positive attitude
Good sportsmanship
Team spirit
Dedication
A strong work ethic
The ability to be coached
Nomination and Selection Process
Varsity coaches will submit written nominations for this award no later then April 1st of the year in question. The Athletic Director will form a committee that includes the Athletic Director, Upper School Director, Leadership Coordinator, one coach, and one teacher. The committee will evaluate each nominee and reach a decision no later than April 30th. The winner will be announced on the same day that the Excellence in Athletics winner is announced. |
