PREVENT THE SPREAD OF GERMS
- Teach your child to wash hands thoroughly and often. Always wash before and after eating food and after using the restroom. Hand washing is the single most important means of preventing the spread of infection.
- Teach your child not to share eating utensils or drink containers with others (including family members).
- Teach your child to cough and sneeze into the elbow/sleeve.
- Keep your children home when they are ill. If you know they have an illness or fever in the morning or night before school please keep your child home.
If your child becomes ill at school (fever, vomiting, diarrhea) he or she will be sent home and EXCLUDED FROM SCHOOL THE FOLLOWING DAY, possibly extending the 24-hour exclusion period. Please the Student Handbook for the Health Office policies regarding illness and return to school.
If you have questions, please feel free to call the Visitation Health Office at 651-683-1708.
