Mission Statement
The Visitation Religion Department is rooted in the Roman Catholic faith tradition and strengthened by the shared vision of Salesian spirituality inspired by the founders of the Visitation, St. Jane de Chantal and St. Francis de Sales. In collaboration with their families, the mission of the department is to make Jesus Christ known, loved, and served in the lives of the students that they may do the same in their own lives and relationships.

- Articulate fundamental religious truths found in the Catholic Tradition, Church doctrines, and Holy Scripture.
- Explain the relationship between Gospel values and principles of Catholic Social Teaching as they take action for justice in the world and show respect for all faith traditions.
- Cultivate a relationship with God and others through prayer, meditation, faith sharing, liturgy, retreats, reflection, and learning about the faith journeys of others.
- Express their faith through celebration of the liturgical seasons and sacraments.
- Appreciate who they are as created in the image and likeness of God and recognize this dignity in others.
- Develop a sense of moral integrity when making decisions and accept responsibility for their personal choices.
- Identify key facets of Salesian spirituality and integrate Salesian virtues into their daily lives.
