About Literary Genres/Ninth Grade English
The English curriculum for ninth graders is a formal and fun introduction to various literary genres, including short stories, drama, novels, and non-fiction. Students will discuss and analyze their reflections about literature with one another and the teacher. Students will also practice written expression, enhance their grammar and vocabulary skills, and refine their research skills through research projects. Lastly, students will participate in peer reviews, in-class reading, and lectures.

Supply List for 2009-2010
Students should have a three-ring binder (2") AND loose-leaf or a notebook on the first day of school.  I also strongly encourage students to have a flash drive and a stapler.  Students will receive a copy of A Writer's Reference and various books and plays as needed.
