About Literary Genres/Ninth Grade English The English curriculum for ninth graders is a formal and fun introduction to various literary genres, including short stories, drama, novels, and non-fiction. Students will discuss and analyze their reflections about literature with one another and the teacher. Students will also practice written expression, enhance their grammar and vocabulary skills, and refine their research skills through quarterly research projects. Lastly, students will participate in peer reviews, in-class reading, and lectures.
