US Social Studies Teacher Contributes to Textbook

Upper School Social Studies teacher Brett Horttor has written a series of PowerPoint lecture guides for EMC Publishing, a company that provides educational materials and textbooks. The CD containing Mr. Horttor’s presentations was published recently as part of a new high school-level government textbook entitled American Government: Citizenship and Power.

American Government examines both historical and contemporary political issues and encourages high school students to become actively involved in politics and government. In contributing to this textbook’s supplementary materials, Mr. Horttor wrote summaries of the chapters, which serve as lecture guides for teachers of government.
