For 400 years, the generosity of the Visitation community has been the foundation upon which we stand.
Today, we need your help so that we can sustain the important work of the Convent of the Visitation School, and honor the lifelong work of the Sisters.
This is a time of extraordinary need: requests for financial aid for Visitation students have exceeded our capacity—and our account balances. Today, we are asking 400 friends of the Visitation community each to contribute $400 to the DeSales Annual Fund to address these requests, and to support the legacy of the Sisters, scholarship and Salesian Spirituality.
To kick off this important effort, the Founding Gift of $400 has been provided by the Visitation Class of 2010.
Your gift can be mailed to the Development Office at Visitation School, made online by clicking the tile on the left or over the phone at 651-683-1704.
Gifts received before December 31, 2010 will be honored on a special plaque in the school. We invite you to join the Class of 2010 in supporting this important effort. |

Thank You for Supporting
Convent of the Visitation School
When a child attends Visitation, he or she becomes part of a community. A partnership is created between the school and its families. That partnership lasts a lifetime, as reflected in our school motto: Non Scholae, Sed Vitae; Not for School, but for Life.
As an independent school, Visitation receives no financial support from local, state or federal taxes. Because we are an independent school, we are able to design our own programs to fit the values and beliefs of our founders, the Sisters of the Visitation.
An excellent education requires funding beyond what tuition provides. Convent of the Visitation School relies on annual contributions, endowment income, and other fundraising efforts to meet operating expenses. The gift you make today ensures that we are able to sustain this mission for years to come.
The Sisters and the Board of Trustees believe that every student who gains admission to Visitation should be able to attend Visitation, regardless of their family’s financial status. This year, Visitation has awarded nearly $1,300,000 in financial grants. This would not have been possible without the generous support of alumnae, parents, grandparents and so many others who believe in the importance of a Visitation education.
Your gifts make a tremendous difference in the lives of our students, faculty, and the entire Vis community, and help ensure that the legacy of the Visitation Sisters continues to offer “an excellent education within a Catholic environment rooted in Salesian spirituality” for generations to come.
Visitation accepts gifts by cash, check, credit card, automatic debit or stock transfer. Online credit card gifts may be made here. For gifts of stock, please contact the Development Office at 651-683-1704. |
