Welcome to second semester Physics!

As we continue on into quarter 4, we will be wrapping up optics and moving into the wonderful world of electricity.  We will learn about static electricity and moving electricity, aka current.  Force diagrams will be coming back to haunt you!

This page will slowly become a wealth of information for you.  Use it!  Feel free to email me anytime with comments, concerns, and questions.

Procedural Information
Significant Digits Handout

Very Helpful Physics Sites
The Physics Classroom - Tutorial on physics topics we are currently studying.  This site has good information, diagrams,  and examples.  It expounds on many topics from your book that I cover in more depth than the book does.
The Physics Hypertextbook - Another online tutorial broken down by topic.  Less developed then the above link but it presents things in a slightly different way that may help you.

Sites About Light
The Science of Spectroscopy - A wikipedia page with loads of information about light, electromagnetic waves, and applications of the theories.  Topics include what it s light, how is it created, Light and matter, etc.
Overview of light/wave experiments - Created by the camera company Olympus, it runs through some of the history very briefly and contains different Java simulations where you can see light waves in action.

Significant Digits Help
Site with significant digits worksheets  - This site has a wealth of sig. fig quizzes at the bottom of the page.  Some of the quizzes are just "how many" type questions and some are actual problems where you determine number of Sig. Figs at the end.  If you continue to get points of practice and take your time!  It shouldn't be something you are guessing at.
