Why Vis? In this month's View from Vis blog, Upper School Director Anna Barter has some heartfelt answers to that question, particularly in regard to Visitation's impact on herself, the students and the broader community. Please read this month's blog post to see some of Dr. Barter's answers to why Vis is such a compelling place.
Team Mutomo will host its 7th annual 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, April 29, as a fundraiser for the group's trip to Africa in June. Students in grade 5 or younger are invited to ride their bikes along the course if they wear a helmet and are accompanied by an adult.
The Fun Run/Walk/Bike Ride will take place at 10 a.m., starting and ending in the Heart of Visitation. The cost per person for the event is $25 if you register by 2 p.m. on April 28 ($30 on race day). Everyone who signs up will receive a Team Mutomo t-shirt and snacks. REGISTER HERE.
About Team Mutomo
Team Mutomo's partnership with the Dominican Sisters of Ndola, Zambia, is transforming the lives of the most vulnerable people in the Sisters' community. Since 2011, through service and fundraising, Team Mutomo has helped to upgrade the Sisters' health clinic, provided the clinics with pharmaceuticals, painted the classrooms at the Barefoot School for the poor and provided its teachers with materials, supported HIV clinics, and provided loving support to the children at St. Anthony's Orphanage.
Please join us for our most significant fundraiser of the year. Families who are unable to participate in the fun run but would like to make a financial donation in support of Team Mutomo's work may send a check to Visitation School with Team Mutomo in the memo line. They may also donate online here.
