Middle School STEM Day for Girls

Cost is $55 per girl. Includes workshops, lunch and t-shirt.

Convent of the Visitation School is proud to sponsor the Middle School STEM Day for Girls: A conference to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Since 2009, this day of hands-on workshops, exciting speakers and visits with professionals in a variety of STEM fields, has provided Twin Cities area 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math an opportunity to aspire, imagine, explore, and discover STEM.

PURPOSE:

ASPIRE to make STEM a part of your future by meeting professionals in STEM careers.

IMAGINE the many possibilities involved in STEM

EXPLORE exciting STEM topics and careers

DISCOVER cool STEM activities in “hands on” workshops.

GOALS:

  • Bring together young women from different schools and backgrounds.
  • Build connections between STEM professionals, mentors, and young women.

  • Generate enthusiasm and confidence to pursue STEM courses in high school and, ultimately, careers in STEM fields.
