Online Grade Procedures
Visitation Middle School and Upper School posts grades online for one-week windows at mid-quarter and quarter’s end. The limited access is the faculty’s attempt to offer the convenience of online grade reports yet minimize unhealthy competition, stress and anxiety for our students. This is in keeping with the belief that grades are only one indicator of a student’s academic progress. In addition, limiting online grade access encourages student accountability, teaches responsibility and fosters academic independence and growth.
Middle and Upper School Parents as well as Upper School students receive access codes that allow them to view the students’ current course percentages and letter grades, as well as the teachers’ online grade books, which outline the grades for their individual assignments, projects, quizzes and exams.
If you have concerns about your student's grades, please have your students contact the teachers directly. We encourage our students to take responsibility for their learning by
communicating directly to their teachers regarding any academic questions or
concerns.

When you log into PowerSchool you should see a table containing grades and percentages for each course your student is enrolled in. If you click on the grade or percentage of a particular course you will be brought to a page containing teacher comments for the grading term, course descriptions, and the teachers online gradebook.
Access dates for the 2007-2008 school year are:
Q1 MIDTERMS
Upper School: October 4 at 8:30 am until October 11 at 8:30 am.
Middle School: October 3 at 8:30 am until October 10 at 8:30 am.
Q1 FINALS
Upper School: October 31 at 8:30 am until November 9 at 8:30 am.
Middle School: November 1 at 8:30 am until November 9 at 8:30 am.
Q2 MIDTERMS
Upper School: December 6 at 8:30 am until December 13 at 8:30 am.
Middle School: December 6 at 8:30 am until December 13 at 8:30 am.
Q2 FINALS/END OF SEMESTER 1
Upper School: January 25 at 8:30 am until February 1 at 8:30 am.
Middle School: January 17 at 8:30 am until January 24 at 8:30 am.
Q3 MIDTERMS
Upper School: February 28 at 8:30 am until March 6 at 8:30 am.
Middle School: February 28 at 8:30 am until March 6 at 8:30 am.
Q3 FINALS
Upper School: April 3 at 8:30 am until April 10 at 8:30 am.
Middle School: April 3 at 8:30 am until April 10 at 8:30 am.

Upper School: May 8 at 8:30 am until May 15 at 8:30 am.
