Visitation’s administration and board of trustees is pleased to announce the launch of Visitation School’s newly crafted, five-year Strategic Plan entitled Celebrating our Legacy, Securing our Future.

To create the Strategic Plan, a broad, inclusive group of school constituents embarked upon a process that was led by the Long Range Planning Committee of the Board and guided by an outside facilitator. The plan is built around three key foundations for Visitation’s future: Salesian Spirituality/Catholic Identity, Educational Excellence, and Robust Governance – that is, making prudent administrative and financial decisions. An emphasis on these three areas will help ensure that Visitation’s unique mission and place in the world are well sustained over time.

While the school focuses on the road ahead, the community is ever mindful of its rich tradition, which the Sisters seeded in 1873 and which has blossomed beautifully for more than a century. These newly defined strategic initiatives capture the vigorous tension between the school’s roots and its wings and will enable the school to soar.

Visitation’s marketing department has created two resources to further explain and articulate the Strategic Plan.  The first is a DVD, which may be viewed by clicking here.  The second resource is the Strategic Plan Brochure.
Most families received a copy of the brochure in the mail in January, but the brochure is also available online by clicking here.  If downloading the DVD is not possible, parents may set up a time to view the DVD or receive a copy of the Strategic Plan brochure by contacting Patty Healy Janssen at 651-683-1705 or by email.
