The programs meet the needs of the individual child with one-on-one, small and large group settings.  The program offers a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment for learning, enrichment and creativity. Your child’s imagination and intellect will be sparked! Our summer program, consistent with our philosophy for educating students, is guided by the virtues of gentle strength, joyful optimism, respect and humility.

Summer School

The Summer School program is an academic, enrichment and fun program serving children from preschool through twelfth grade.  Classes include basic reading, math and writing courses, along with Camp Investigation, Camp Invention, and many others.

Summer Camp

Visitation’s Summer Camp program (June 8- August 19, 2010) is for students from Visitation and its surrounding communities who have completed Preschool through Grade 5 during the 2009-2010 school-year.  The program gives participants a fun school-age childcare experience by including a wide variety of camp-like activities.  A typical day at Visitation Summer Camp includes group and individual play, reading activities, art projects, manipulative and constructive toys and dramatic play.  Outdoor exercise is also emphasized with time for free play as well as organized group games such as kickball and capture the flag.

This year, six “enrichment weeks” will be included in our Summer Camp curriculum.  During these weeks, campers will not only have the chance to enjoy daily camp activities, but they will also have the opportunity to participate in specialized week-long enrichment classes of their own choosing.  Some of the fun classes offered include: Kids Yoga, Shadow Puppet Theatre, Duct Tape Adventures, Basketball, Rock Star Math and Nature Exploration.
