The Visitation School Admissions Open House for Middle and Upper School is Monday, January 14 at 6 p.m. In this month's View from Vis, we share some of the most frequent questions and (and answers we provide) that prospective families ask.
A thoughtful strategic plan is the key to setting and attaining goals. It is our blueprint and our road map, ensuring that the actions we take now are guided by our vision for the future.
This latest iteration of Visitation’s strategic plan, for the years 2018-21, was the culmination of a year-long effort of a group of Visitation Sisters, faculty, staff and the Board of Trustees and will be key to setting and attaining our goals. We will use this plan to ensure that the actions we take are guided by our vision for the future along with the necessary flexibility to adapt to our changing environment. The result is a plan which updates our mission statement and guiding principles and lays out priorities for action to support our three core pillars: excellent education, Catholic Salesian identity and robust governance.
The strategic plan aligns with and builds upon Visitation School’s foundation documents that guide our educational philosophy and operational expectations. These key guiding documents include the following:
- Visitation Mission and Guiding Principles
- Portrait of a Visitation Learner
- Visitation School Diversity Statement
- Educating the Mind and Heart in the Visitation Tradition: A Guide for Educators in Visitation Schools in the United States of America
- ISACS accreditation requirements
We think boldly, share with the broader community, grounded in our distinctive foundation.
Our community strives to reflect the words of St. Francis de Sales: "Be who you are and be that well..."
Our Catholic Salesian heritage guides all organizational decisions, and we allocate resources to reflect the school's values and priorities.
