Facilities Lead

Visitation School is seeking a full time, hands-on Facilities Lead to assist in ensuring a safe, efficient and well-maintained campus. The ideal candidate will have both the interest and aptitude for eventually transitioning into our Facilities Manager role.  This position is key member of our Facilities team and serves as the lead technician for our 200,000 square foot, multi-purpose facilities, athletic fields and 60 acre campus.  Detailed working knowledge of building mechanical systems, construction, control systems, and facilities maintenance is required. In addition to a commitment to Visitation's mission and values, preferred candidates will possess 5+ years of experience in a comparable educational environment, a collaborative working style, and positive interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate is/will have:

  • 5-8 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, cleaning and repair of buildings and grounds for a medium-sized institutional setting, preference for an educational or similar institution

  • High School diploma or GED, preference for trade certification

  • Class C Boiler License to operate a low-pressure boiler system, preference for 1st Class C License

  • Demonstrated proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs

  • Proficiency operating and maintaining a variety of tools, machinery and equipment

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Strong organizational, technical, and analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A well organized, dependable self-starter who is a team player

  • A strong desire to contribute actively to a community where students are known, loved, and positively challenged
