Library and Resources

The Visitation Library is a warm, welcoming space where students and faculty can read, research, and relax.

Lower School students have weekly library classes to check out books, listen to read-alouds, engage in creative literacy activities, and learn basic research skills appropriate to their grade level. Our Middle School students take part in information literacy classes to help them develop skills to be successful in the classroom now and in the future and have daily opportunities to browse for reading material. The Media Specialist holds Middle and Upper School research classes as needed, and students may use the library for study, research, and book selection daily until 5pm. All students are able to schedule group and one-on-one time with the Media Specialist to meet their reading and research needs and to drop into the library with questions at any time.

The Library catalog system, Follett Destiny, can be accessed below and contains books, eBooks, links to digital resources, collections tailored to different interests and grade levels, summaries, reviews, and more. All students have access to the full Destiny site to browse collections, check their accounts, place holds, and contact the Media Specialist to ask a question or request an appointment. Student devices also feature the Destiny app, which allows students to to quickly search for a book, place a hold, and download eBooks from their phone or tablet.
