STEAM Day for Girls

STEAM DAY 2021 is may 8!

STEAM Day for Girls will take place at Visitation School on May 8, 2021 at the following times:

  • Grades 3 - 5: 8:30 to 11:15 a.m.
  • Grades 6 - 8: 12:15 to 3 p.m.

Visitation has long prided itself on maintaining the balance between educating the mind and feeding the soul, so it is in that great tradition that STEAM Day for Girls will venture to expose participants to the creativity and possibilities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Professionals in STEAM fields will lead hands-on workshops to give small groups of girls a sense of each respective profession.

Since 2009, this day of hands-on workshops, exciting speakers and visits with professionals in a variety of STEAM fields has provided Twin Cities area girls who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Math an opportunity to aspire, imagine, explore and discover STEAM.

Please note, Covid protocols will be closely followed, and space will be limited.

2021 STEAM Day Workshops include:

  • Experimental Painting
  • Exploring the Martian Landscape
  • The Great Wall of China Challenge
  • Sew Like a Surgeon
  • Electrical Enlightenment
  • Animal Anatomy
  • And more!
