Thank you for your interest in Visitation School. We are glad you are here! Below is an outline of Visitation's application process. There are step-by-step instructions throughout the application, and of course, the enrollment staff is here to support you and your family along the way.

Grades 9-11

Important Dates

Entrance Evaluation: Saturday, December 13, 2025, 8:30 a.m. OR Saturday, January 10, 2026, 8:30 a.m. *Please note that applicants must test at Visitation on one of the two listed testing dates in order to be considered for Merit-based Scholarships
Deadline to submit Initial Application Form: Saturday, December 13, 2025
Deadline to submit supplemental application items (teacher evaluations, transcripts, student and parent essays): Saturday, January 10, 2026
Deadline to apply for Merit-Based Scholarships: Saturday, January 10, 2026
Deadline to apply for Need-based Financial Grants: Monday, January 13, 2026
Admissions decision: Mid-February 2026

Application: APPLY ONLINE. An application fee of $25 will apply.
Transcripts: Once you submit your initial application form, you will be able send an electronic request for your child’s transcripts to their school via your parent portal in FinalSite Enrollment. The school will be asked to upload academic grades from the current school year and two previous years (if applicable), standardized test scores and attendance records. You can find the link to send that request in your application checklist after signing in HERE.
Teacher Evaluations (2): Once you submit your initial application form, you will be able to send electronic requests to your child’s English and math teachers to complete their teacher evaluation forms online. You can find the link to send those requests in your application checklist after signing in HERE.
Student Visit: All students entering grades one through eleven are typically required to spend a day visiting classes with our students. Schedule a visit day here.
Entrance Evaluation: Please register online for either the December 13, 2025 or January 10, 2026 entrance evaluation. No entrance evaluation required for application to grades 10 and 11.

Merit-Based Scholarships

* Saint Elizabeth Scholarship: All 9th grade applicants who register and take the entrance exam at Visitation on either the December 13, 2025 or the January 10, 2026 testing date will be considered for the Saint Elizabeth Scholarship which will be awarded to the top five composite test scorers.

* Mother Mary Scholarship: 9th grade applicants who would like to be considered for the Mother Mary Scholarship must complete the entrance test at Visitation and also complete the required essay by January 10, 2026. The link to complete the essay can be found after submitting your application form through your FinalSite Enrollment parent portal. Applicants' complete application file will be taken into consideration for this scholarship award.

Entrance Evaluation: Directly after a student Visit Day, Lower School applicants will have the opportunity to complete their entrance testing from 12:00-1:30pm. Parents are encouraged to sign up here. Students applying in the summer will be asked to schedule appointments to complete this testing individually. Please reach out to the Enrollment Office with any questions or to inquire about registering for Entrance Testing on an alternate day.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten Observation: We welcome your child to an observation morning on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 9:00-10:30 a.m. This observation will assist us in learning more about your child’s readiness and academic background.

Montessori Meet & Greets: As a part of our Montessori preschool application process, children will attend a brief session in the Montessori classroom interacting with the Montessori teacher, space, and a limited number of other children. Appointments will be available the morning of Saturday, February 21, 2026 and then scheduled individually on an as needed basis. Please register for a Meet & Greet appointment here.
