Visit Day Information: Your visit day will begin with a warm welcome from students and the classroom teacher. They are expecting you and can’t wait to meet you! You will spend the morning with the classroom teacher, a wealth of teaching specialists and new friends! Vis lunch is on us and you will end your visit by going outdoors for recess. You will experience, first-hand, our amazing community and everything that makes Visitation special! At the end of the student Visit Day, Lower School applicants have the opportunity to complete their entrance testing from 12:00-1:30pm. Parents are encouraged to sign up for the testing here. Please reach out to the Enrollment Office with any questions or to inquire about registering for Entrance Testing on an alternate day.
Visit Day Schedule:
8:15 a.m.: Families arrive and students begin their visit day in the classroom.
8:20 a.m.: Parents meet with our Director of Lower School to learn more about Lower School programming and ask questions.
8:30 a.m.: Parent tours with the Enrollment team.
9:00 a.m.: Parents depart.
12:00 p.m.: Student testing
1:30 p.m.: Student pick up at the Heart.
What to Wear: Jeans and a t-shirt, a skirt and sweater, yoga pants with a long top or any combination thereof are all welcome. Please bring appropriate outerwear (and consider wearing athletic shoes) as you will be going outside for recess.
What to Bring: Lunch, a snack and a water bottle will be provided. Please inform the Enrollment Office of any allergies we need to be aware of.
Where and When to Enter: When arriving and picking up your child, please plan to park in our main parking lot and enter at Door #5, the Heart entrance. To find the main parking lot, please turn right at the first stop sign after the soccer fields and follow the drive past the tennis courts. There will be marked Visitor Parking spots in the main lot.
Enrollment staff will meet you at Door #5 (school entrance) at 8:15 a.m. Follow Visitation Drive to the main parking lot, follow the signs for "School Entrance." There is designated visitor parking. After entrance testing, your child will be ready to be picked-up at 1:30 p.m in the Heart.
What to Expect: Students can expect to have fun and learn a lot about our wonderful community. Your child will spend the morning with the grade level teacher as well as a number of specialists. In lieu of a separate day for entrance testing, our faculty will administer a few brief assessments throughout the student’s visit day. Students do not need to prepare for these assessments.
We encourage all students to arrive with an open mind and prepare to take part in the day. The teacher and students are looking forward to introducing your child to all that is wonderful about Visitation. Encourage your child to ask questions and be open to new experiences.
While on campus, visitors will end their day by visiting with Enrollment staff. This brief conversation will allow the Enrollment team to get to know your child better. Your child will be ready to be picked-up at 12:00 p.m. at Door #5.
