Merit Scholarships

Testing-based Scholarships (open to new 9th grade students)

Saint Elizabeth Scholarship

  • Available for new students applying for 9th grade
  • Top five composite scores receive $1,000 scholarship
  • Must complete entrance test at Visitation School on one of two offered entrance testing dates: December 13, 2025 or January 10, 2026
  • Award only applies to ninth grade year tuition
  • Notification: At time of acceptance notification

 

Application-based Scholarships (open to new and currently enrolled rising 9th grade students)

Mother Mary Scholarship

  • The Mother Mary Scholarship is awarded to three ninth grade students for the 26-27 school year and is awarded by a committee in consideration of their grades for the past two academic years, a recommendation form submitted by a current teacher of the student’s choice and the student’s written answer to the required essay question. Log in to Finalsite Enrollment Parent Portal for submission instructions.
  • Three scholarship winners each receive $5,000
  • Essay prompt
    • The “little virtues” of Salesian Spirituality include: honesty, acceptance, generosity, humility, gentle strength, kindness, patience, simplicity, liberty of spirit, interiority, joyful optimism, courage, acceptance and stewardship. Which Salesian virtue do you feel is the most important to you? Give an example of when you have exhibited this virtue and explain how you hope to grow in this virtue during your high school years at Visitation.
  • Full application will also be considered (transcripts, teacher evaluations)
    • Internal students request a separate teacher evaluation
  • Deadline: January 10
  • Award only applies to ninth grade year tuition
  • Notification: At time of acceptance notification
