MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL

Season Start Date:
The Middle School program will open with a soft start on Monday, November 18, 2024 for any 5-8th graders interested in playing.  There are no practices over Thanksgiving break.  Those who want to play for the whole season are asked to commit by Monday, December 2, 2024.

PRACTICE

Practice Information: Practices are from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. and may vary based on the game schedule, school calendar, court availability, etc.
Where?: Meet in the Aux/Small Gym after school at 3:15 p.m.
What do I need?: Gym clothes, gym/basketball shoes and a water bottle.
How do I Register?: All student-athletes must be registered with and cleared by the Visitation Athletic Department in order to participate. Sports registration is done through school registration.  

Team Composition:

The number of Middle School Basketball teams formed and competition levels depend on how many student-athletes come out to play.   7th and 8th graders are eligible to try out for Upper School teams, but placement is not guaranteed.  Student-athletes will have the opportunity to participate in games that are appropriate for their makeup and ability.

The teams typically play a nine-game regular season schedule, plus playoffs, and roughly half of the games are at Home and half are Away. The dates of the season are TBA, but typically run from late November through late February / early March.
