Middle School Leadership Lab
"Be who you are and Be that Well."
Visitation School is excited to announce a new leadership initiative for Middle School girls. Girls from Twin Cities area schools in grades 6-8 are invited to participate in Visitation School 's Leadership Lab on Saturday, November 9 from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Invite your friends and neighbors!
To kick off the morning, students will hear from our keynote speaker, Maddie Lenarz Hooyman, Director of Coaching at Youth Frontiers. Participants will then join in three hands-on sessions that will focus on finding strengths and being your best self, learning about the different ways to lead, and supporting leaders and one another to promote Sisterhood. The sessions will be led by Visitation School's expert faculty and by students on the high school leadership teams. Girls will leave the event feeling more confident, inspired and empowered. About the Keynote: Maddie Lenarz Hooyman is the Director of Coaching at Youth Frontiers, a local non-profit, where she oversees the training and development of retreat facilitators. She comes from the theater world, and studied acting and improvisation at Loyola University in Chicago. Maddie is passionate about seeing the potential and strengths in others. When not at YF, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids outside in nature!

9: 20 - 11:30 a.m. - Leadership sessions
- Be who you are and be that well: what kind of leader are you?
- Carrying it Forward: Participants will identify areas where they want to lead, brainstorm ideas to overcome challenges with leading.
- Sisterhood: Participants will collaborate to solve a group challenge and will build a network of peers to encourage leadership going forward.
11:35- 12:05 - Closing Activities
Visitation School is the only all-girls middle and high school in Minnesota. We are experts in educating girls and have curated this morning to help develop girls feel ready to lead -- where ever they are!
