Sturdy Parenting Strategies for Technology Use in Tweens and Teens

On December 11, Visitation Lower and Middle Schools will host a webinar for parents of students in grades 5-8 entitled Virtue and Value Driven Technology: Sturdy Parenting Strategies for Technology Use in Tweens and Teens at 7 p.m. via Zoom. During this presentation, Elizabeth Carver ‘00 will join the Director of Secondary Education, Dr. Anna Barter, Coordinator of Student Life, Donielle Dixon, and Lower and Middle School Counselor, Kerry Trammell, for an engaging conversation that will explore practical tips and strategies for helping students navigate social media and technology. We’ll discuss current trends, developmental considerations, and ways families can foster balance, digital well-being, and responsible online behavior.

The session will include actionable guidance, examples from school life, and time for questions. We look forward to partnering with you in supporting our students as they grow into confident, thoughtful digital citizens.
