Since 2011, Visitation School has had the great fortune of partnering with local wellness for Africa advocates, joining them on extraordinary service trip opportunities. The Dominican Missionary Sisters in Ndola, Zambia, have warmly welcomed us for several years and look forward to hosting our return visit this upcoming summer, 2026. 

Dates: June 20 - July 1, 2026
Cost: To be determined; approximately $6,000 (travel scholarships are available)
Who: Students in grades 9-11 for the 25-26 school year

EduAfrica is Visitation School's educational travel partner, whose transformative programming utilizes unique African contexts to help students augment world views. Program goals seamlessly align with our Portrait of a Visitation Learner, designed to help students grow in their ability to collaborate with others, develop personally, mature cross-culturally, and flourish as global citizens and leaders. Alongside the Dominican Sisters, our students volunteer at the St. Anthony Home for Orphans & Vulnerable Children and the Butterfly Tree Project Community Center. 

Following these formative days in Ndola, students travel to Livingstone, Zambia, where they will spend a day on safari and a day viewing Victoria Falls, then visiting a local curio market.

Zambia is a landlocked country in southern Africa that gets its name from the Zambezi River, which flows through Zambia and makes up part of its southern border with Zimbabwe. It is one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies and among the most urbanized countries in Africa. Most of the country comprises wild game management areas, conservation projects, and pristine national parks, not to be missed!

Chobe Day Safari Excursion: Chobe National Park is well known for its dense concentration of wildlife. Our group will take a boat trip and experience a game drive, during which one can spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, birds, antelope and more!

Majestic Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, is located on the Zambezi River and is visible from both Zambia and Zimbabwe. We will join the ever growing list of Visitation students who, since 2011, have partaken in this thrilling opportunity.
