8th Grade Celebrates Day Together

The Vis 8th grade class celebrated a special day together on Friday, May 6th to commemorate their accomplishments and graduation from Visitation Middle School.

On May 6, the 8th graders left school at 8:00 a.m. for the Mall of America. At MOA, they participated in "The Escape Room" challenge, an immersive 60-minute adventure where teams work together to solve puzzles in an effort to "escape".

After enjoying the Mall of America, the 8th graders traveled to the Ordway Concert Hall for an 11:00 a.m. concert of “Julie Albers Plays Shostakovich’s First Cello Concerto.” The first cello concerto was masterfully performed by Alberts, the SPCO Principal Cello, giving the students a glimpse of a timeless hallmark of cello repertoire.

Finally from the Ordway, the class went directly to Camp St. Croix for a picnic lunch and outdoor activities, including the climbing tower. The weather was beautiful for the outdoor time together. It was a wonderful day full of connection and engagement for our 8th grade class.
