Blazer Postseason Update

A message from Director of Competitive Activities, Elisa Ryan Manny '99:

Congrats to Vis Tennis! They ended their season with two hard-fought matches at the State Tournament! Kudos to the nearly 100 fans who packed the Baseline Tennis Center in support of the Blazers. 

Vis Tennis finished the regular season with a record of 14-2, finishing in second place in the Tri Metro Conference, winning the Section 3AA Championship as the #3 seed and qualifying for the AA State Tournament. The team ended their season with an overall season record of 17-4 and also received an Academic All State award from the Minnesota State High School Tennis Coaches Association. Congrats to the team and coaches on a fantastic season!

Blazer Volleyball defeated South St. Paul in the quarterfinals in front of a packed home crowd and now host #3 seeded DeLaSalle on Friday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. The Blazers beat DeLaSalle in a tight five-set match at their place during the regular season and ready for another battle to see who will advance to the Section finals. Let’s pack the gym! Free popcorn to anyone with a Visitation or STA ID.

Cross Country
Championship Alert: Cross Country defended their title at the Tri Metro Championship meet  to win their 10th consecutive conference championship. Senior, Ava Kirr, completed the 5K in 20:10 to win the Individual Championship as well!!  The team now switches their focus to the Section 3AA meet this Thursday  at Valleywood Golf Course.

MS Volleyball
The 5/6 team beat MPA in the first round of playoffs to move on to face Northern Christian Academy Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7:15 p.m. at St. John's Little Canada. See the bracket HERE and Go Blazers!

The 7/8 team lost a tough one in the first round of playoffs to Immaculate Conception, 2-1, with each set being close. Coach Matt said that they played their best match of the season! 

MS Soccer
The 8th grade team ended their season with a loss to St. Joe's Rosemount and the 5/6/7 team closed our their season with a loss to St. Odilia. Thanks to Coach Scott and Coach Indira for their leadership and congrats to both teams and coaches for a great run!
