Dear Visitation School Community,

We would like to express our gratitude to all of you who actively participated in the conversations with our Head of School candidate last week. Your valuable insights and engagement are crucial in shaping the future leadership of Visitation School.

As part of the ongoing Head of School search process, we wanted to share with you the latest developments and steps taken:

• Our partner, Carney Sandoe & Associates (CSA), collaborated with Visitation School by disseminating the position announcement to thousands of potential candidates through the CSA Independent and Catholic Schools’ databases. Additionally, targeted calls were made to potentially qualified candidates. 
• A thorough review of 19 potential candidate resumes was conducted to ensure alignment with Visitation's job requirements. Nine candidates were invited to submit dossiers to the Search Committee, which meticulously reviewed all of them. Subsequently, five candidates were invited to virtual interviews, each lasting 90 minutes.
• Two candidates emerged as finalists and were invited to onsite interviews at Visitation School. Unfortunately, one finalist withdrew due to an internal promotion at their current organization.
• To maintain consistency with the established timeline for both Visitation and the candidate, the decision was made to invite one finalist for on campus meetings and interviews with more than 100 Visitation stakeholders.

The next crucial step in the process involves inviting the remaining finalist back to campus to spend additional time with members of Search Committee, Visitation Board of Trustees, Sisters, Association of Christian Faithful (ACF), and faculty and staff. This visit is scheduled for February 4 and 5.

We understand the importance of transparency in this process, and we are committed to keeping you informed at every stage. Following the campus visit, we will provide another update to our community of next steps as it relates to the Head of School search.
