Calling All Lower School Families

We are looking for several families to assist in welcoming our new families to Visitation. The New Family Welcome Program is set up to assist our new families in getting to know Vis a little better. Current and newly enrolled families are paired (same division as your child, or a grade close to your student), and are encouraged to:

• Make a welcome phone call
• Send a welcome email
• Plan a playground playdate or other gathering
• Send an invitation to meet them at a Vis welcome event in August
• As the school year begins, encouraging your child to invite the new student to eat lunch with them or play together at recess.

The most important thing is that our new families feel like they have someone available to answer their questions as they join a new community. You are encouraged to connect at least once this spring and once over the summer.
