The Middle School theater program is thrilled to present High School Musical Jr., the stage adaptation of Disney’s beloved film. This high-energy show celebrates friendship, courage and the slightly terrifying act of stepping outside your comfort zone, whether that’s auditioning for the school musical or just sitting at a new lunch table.

In this junior version, audiences will follow Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay and the rest of the East High Wildcats as they navigate cliques, callbacks and the radical idea that you don’t have to be just one thing. Packed with catchy songs, big ensemble numbers and more school spirit than should reasonably fit in one theater, the show is equal parts heart and jazz hands.

What makes this production especially exciting is the work our students have poured into it. They’ve been rehearsing after school, fine-tuning harmonies, learning choreography, developing characters and supporting one another in the way great ensembles do. Watching them grow, not just as performers, but as collaborators and leaders, has been the real showstopper.
