Visitation School chooses a virtue each year to help us learn more about the Salesian encouragement to live the Gospel. This year we will cultivate our understanding and practice of the little virtue of Gratitude. St. Jane de Chantal wrote in a  letter to her brother, Andre Fremyot, to encourage his plan for living a life of devotion, “Use words like these, ‘O most holy will of God, I give you infinite thanks for the mercy with which you surround me.’ ” (Letters of Spiritual Direction). We are invited to this same tuning of heart and mind as a community.

The virtue and quote were chosen by the Salesian Ministry Network, a group of faculty and staff who help deepen our collective Visitation Salesian experience. In light of the 150th anniversary year and with a deep appreciation for all that we have been blessed with a strong foundation and guiding legacy.
