Salesian Corner: Happy Summer from Salesian Life and Campus Ministry

A message from Salesian Life and Campus Ministry:

“From time to time, one must recreate and relax in mind and body.” –St. Francis de Sales

As Visitation School ends the 25-26 academic year this week, we celebrate the accomplishments of the school year, and remember in gratitude the love, learning, and all the moments of courage that took place in the classrooms, studios, gyms, auditorium, hallways, Chapel, fields, courts, and across our campus.

St. Francis de Sales often wrote about transitions and change of seasons, using imagery of the natural world as a reminder of God’s love reflected in nature’s beauty. May the summer break be an enjoyable one and offer opportunities to appreciate God’s love at work in family, friends, and neighbors, and in all of creation.

Visitation School Prayer

Loving God, we celebrate the way you inspired Mary

to carry the new life of Christ to her cousin, Elizabeth.

We also carry Christ in our hearts,

and we celebrate the great things you do for us.

Guide all of us at Visitation to respect and appreciate ourselves and others.

As we celebrate today, help us to continue to work

for the good of our school and of all creation.

In the gentle spirit of Saint Jane de Chantal and Saint Francis de Sales, teach us to love you by serving and supporting one another.

Bless and protect each of us, our families, those we love,

and all who are in need of our prayer. Amen.
