Sed Vitae Speaker Series: Parenting Girls Today

Visitation School Sed Vitae Speaker Series presents Beth Carver, MSW. Beth will share wisdom and guidance for parents as they guide their daughters through adolescence. Offering insight and advice, she will discuss challenges facing girls today and how to best partner and empower our daughters. Finding balance between head and heart, the event will cover topics such as helping your daughter find the right school, navigate friendships and so much more.

The conversation will be moderated by Director of Upper School, Dr. Anna Barter. Together, Beth and Anna will offer common sense strategies for parents of girls that cultivate confidence and resilience. Join us on Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at Visitation School with a brief reception to follow. Please share with friends and neighbors!

About Beth Carver:

Elizabeth Carver is a clinically trained social worker who specializes in children and adolescent mental health. She maintains a small private therapy practice which serves mostly adults. For the past decade, Beth has worked In education and has focused largely on the creation and implementation of social emotional learning programming. She works alongside Dr. Jules Nolan, serving on the Phoenix School Counseling Leadership Team as the Director of Operations. 

She graduated from Visitation School in 2000, received her bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and completed the LEAH fellowship in adolescent mental health with the Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. In her free time Elizabeth loves playing with her children, practicing yoga, and going on long runs with her husband.
