State Swim Meet Details
A message From Director of Competitive Activities, Elisa Ryan Manny:
Dear Middle and Upper School Families,
The Visitation Swim/Dive team captured the MSHSL Section 4A title and several individuals and relays advanced to the State Championship meet!
Note: All tickets must be purchased via this link. Tickets will be available beginning at 9 a.m. on Wed., Nov. 16.
Upper School
11:15 a.m. Dismissal:
As stated in the Visitation Student Handbook, when a team wins the section meet, school may be dismissed so that students and faculty may attend the state event. Upper School will end classes at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, November 18. Please arrange for transportation from school at 11:15 a.m. We will run a shortened day (see below) in order for students to attend the meet. The library will be open and available to any student remaining at school.
Friday, November 18, B Day, Out of Uniform
Period 4: 8 - 8:45 a.m.
Period 1: 8:50 - 9:35 a.m.
Period 7: 9:40 - 10:25 a.m.
Period 5: 10:30 - 11:15 a.m.
Fan Bus
Free Fan Bus transportation for students is available to and from the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center on a first come, first served basis and all student riders must have a complete this permission form, no exceptions.
11:30 a.m. Fan Bus Departure:
- Fan bus departs at 11:30 a.m. Parking is limited at the University of Minnesota and we encourage students to take advantage of the free Fan Bus.
- Students riding the Fan Bus must ride it both ways.
- Permission form must be submitted electronically no later than the end of the school day on Thursday, November 17.
- Please note that students must self-monitor their behavior at this event and close supervision will only be provided on the bus ride.
Fan Bus Estimated Return:
- The fan bus will leave 15 minutes after the awards ceremony.
Middle School
Regular Schedule
Middle School will remain on regular schedule on Friday, November 18. If parents choose to bring a Middle School student to the meet, please email the Attendance Office (attendance@vischool.org) on Friday morning, prior to picking up your child. No transportation or supervision will be provided from the school for Middle School students as Middle School will be in session.
