Swim and Dive State Recap 2024-25

A message from the Director of Athletics, Elisa Ryan Manny:

Vis Swim/Dive finished another successful season in 2nd place at the Class A State meet, where they competed at a high level overall with standout performances from Katie Miller, who won the 500 Free, and Maggie Farley, who won the 100Fly. The team commanded the lanes at the Section 4A meet and emerged as the Section Champions for the 21st time, with the first coming in 2004. A section meet highlight is senior Maggie Farley earning a section finals record with a time of 56.56 in the 100 Fly, which is a record previously held by her sister, Vis Alumnae and current Villanova Swimmer, Anna Farley.

The season also produced the program’s 14th consecutive Tri Metro Conference Championship, their 19th consecutive True Team Section Championship along with their 21st Section 4A Championship, proving that the student-athletes are remarkable and confirming that the coaching staff, led by 2023 National Coach of the Year Nate Linscheid, is the best Swim/Dive coaching staff in the state of Minnesota.
