Dear Visitation Community,
In this season of gratitude, my heart is filled with thanksgiving for the warm welcome I’ve received as your new Head of School. Each day, I am reminded of the many blessings that make Visitation such an incredible community. From inspiring conversations with students to the dedication of our faculty and staff, to the steadfast support of parents, alumnae, and friends, Visitation radiates a spirit of love, joy and connection.
This past weekend, I witnessed our students' creativity and talent shine as they wrapped up a VISTA Productions fall play, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley. Moments like these highlight the vibrant energy and passion that define our campus. Looking ahead, I am excited for the upcoming holiday events that will bring us together. Join us on campus — see a list of holiday events here.
Each year, Visitation School embraces a Salesian virtue to guide us in living our faith with purpose. This year, we reflect on the virtue of love, and what better time than Thanksgiving to embrace this call to live with generous and open hearts? As St. Francis de Sales reminds us, “The measure of love is to love without measure.” We see this in our students and broader community each day. Through Campus Ministry’s Thanksgiving gift card collection and food drive, Vis families provided meals and Cub gift cards for those in need, exemplifying love in action. These past few weeks have brought countless opportunities to gather: pep rallies, prayer services, Masses, athletic events, and simple moments of togetherness. Each gathering has been a reminder of the strength and beauty of our Visitation family, united in our mission to serve God and one another.
As the holiday season approaches and the days become a whirlwind of activity, I invite you to pause, reflect on the love and blessings in your life, and kindle your gratitude. May this Thanksgiving bring you peace, joy, and the warm embrace of community.
Live Jesus!
