For the 2026–27 school year, Visitation School is transitioning to a standard and formal uniform requirement of solid white low-top shoes for all students in the Lower, Middle and Upper School.
The 2026–27 Student-Parent Handbook states:
Low-top solid white shoes in good condition with no more than 1" heels are accepted for standard and formal uniform. Sandals, platform shoes, boots, moccasins, slippers, backless shoes or clogs are not allowed. Shoes must be worn with the heel inside the shoe and may not be worn as slides or mules. Athletic shoes are required for physical education class.
This update creates a clear and consistent footwear standard across all divisions, making uniform expectations easier for students and families to understand and follow. A single shoe requirement also provides greater continuity for families with children in multiple divisions and supports a cohesive appearance throughout the school community. Brown shoes are no longer needed for formal uniform.
We believe this change will make uniform expectations easier to navigate while maintaining the polished appearance that is an important part of our school tradition.
