School Uniforms
Lower School
Girls Basic and Formal Uniform (Montessori Pre-K through Grade 2)
- Blue uniform jumper from Donald's.
- Dark blue shorts or leggings are required with the uniform jumper.
- Navy leggings or white tights under the skirt for warmth.
- Pants or snow pants must be worn outside on cold days for recess and P.E..
- White blouse (long-/short-sleeved or long-sleeved turtleneck)
- Optional: navy cardigan (monogrammed) or Lower School sweatshirt or quarter zip sweatshirt
- White legwear - anklets, knee highs or tights
- Low top dark brown, navy or black shoe or athletic shoe. Nosandals, platform shoes, boots, backless shoes, high tops or clogs. Athletic shoes required for physical education class.
- Optional: Lower School navy sweatshirt or quarter zip sweatshirt, navy V-neck sweater (monogrammed)

- White polo style knit shirt (plain or Visitation logo long-/short-sleeved Donald’s). Must be neatly tucked into pants at all times
- Optional: Navy blue V-neck sweater vest (monogrammed) or navy blue V-neck long-sleeved pullover sweater from the Peddler
- Navy or white socks
- Low top dark brown, navy or black shoe or athletic shoe. No sandals, platform shoes, boots, backless shoes, high tops or clogs. Athletic shoes required for physical education class.
- Optional: Lower School navy sweatshirt or quarter zip sweatshirt, navy V-neck sweater (monogrammed)
Girls Basic Uniform (Grades 3-5)
- Navy uniform skirt hemmed no more than 2” above the knee (Donald's)
- Dark blue “bike” shorts are required to be worn under a uniform skirt. Uniform pants are optional for cold weather days.
- Navy leggings or white tights under the skirt for warmth.
- Uniform pants may be worn instead of the uniform skirt.
- Pants or snow pants must be worn outside on cold days for recess and P.E
- White button-down shirt (long-/short-sleeved). Must be neatly tucked into the skirt at all times.
- Optional: Navy V-neck sweater and/or vest (monogrammed) is required for assemblies, Mass and other formal functions
- White socks above the ankle, knee highs or tights
- Low top dark brown, navy or black shoe or athletic shoe. No sandals, platform shoes, boots, backless shoes, high tops or clogs. Athletic shoes required for physical education class.
- Optional: Lower School sweatshirt or quarter zip sweatshirt. For extra warmth a white turtleneck may be worn under the blouse and sweater or sweatshirt.
Boys Basic Uniform (Grades 3-5)

- Pants or snow pants must be worn outside on cold days for recess and P.E
- White polo style knit shirt (plain or Visitation logo long/short sleeved Donald’s). Must be neatly tucked into pants at all times.
- Optional: Navy blue V-neck sweater vest (monogrammed) or a navy V-neck long sleeved pullover sweater from the Peddler

Boys - Formal Uniform (Grades 3- 5)
- Long-sleeved white oxford shirt with the Visitation or navy blue tie and sweater or vest (monogrammed)
- Navy trousers(Donald’s)
- Brown uniform shoes are required.
- The formal uniform may be required for all-school Masses or special events.
Girls - Formal Uniform (Grades 3-5)
- Skirt or pants, white oxford blouse, white socks above the ankle or tights, and monogrammed navy sweater or vest are required.
- Brown uniform shoes are required.
- The formal uniform may be required for all-school Masses or special events.
Middle School
Girls - Grades 6-8
Basic Uniform
- Navy uniform skirt (hemmed no more than 2” above the knee). Uniform pants may be worn instead of the uniform skirt. Flannel pants or sweatpants may not be worn during the day.
- White oxford button-down shirt (long- or short-sleeved), always neatly tucked in the skirt (no printed or colored t-shirts may be worn underneath the blouse, but a white t-shirt is permitted). For additional warmth, a white turtleneck may be worn with the sweater in addition to or instead of the oxford shirt.
- The approved Visitation Middle School sweatshirt may be worn in place of the pullover sweater or vest.
- Quarter Zip: Monogrammed navy uniform quarter zip may be worn instead of the sweater except on formal uniform days. May be purchases from the school store.
- Sweaters must be purchased from The Peddler School Store and may be worn for additional warmth. Sweaters must be in good repair in order to be worn as part of the uniform.
- Leg wear: white socks above the ankle (no logos), white knee-highs or white tights/leggings.
- Navy leggings or white tights may be worn with the uniform skirt.
- Shoes: dark brown shoes (ankle or below) tied with brown shoelaces are the preferred shoe or a loafer in good condition, with no more than 1 1/2” heel (sandals, tennis shoes, platform shoes, backless shoes and clogs are not acceptable). No slippers or moccasins are to be worn as part of the uniform. See examples of the correct shoes.
- Physical Education uniforms are required for grades six through nine. Uniforms shall be purchased in the Peddler. The uniform consists of black unisex shorts and a red unisex t-shirt.
Formal Uniform
- The formal uniform will consist of the uniform skirt or pants, oxford button-down shirt (no turtleneck), monogrammed navy uniform pullover sweater or vest, leg wear includes either white socks (no logos), knee high socks or white tights and shoes as stated above. If a student is not in formal uniform he or she will lose the privilege of dressing down during the next out of uniform day. Find the sweater size chart here.
Upper School
Students’ uniforms must be clean, neat, pressed and of appropriate length. Students who are in violation of the uniform regulations will be required to remedy the situation immediately or be sent home. This especially pertains to the uniform skirt length. Students will also be given a 45-minute detention for uniform violations.
Neither visible tattoos nor body piercing jewelry other than earrings are allowed anytime at school or school functions.
Basic Uniform
- Navy uniform skirt (neatly hemmed no more than 2” above the knee) and navy uniform pants purchased from Donald's.
- White, oxford, button-down blouse (long- or short-sleeved), always tucked in. A white t-shirt or turtleneck may be added for warmth; however, the sleeves of the shirts may NOT show below the sleeves of the blouse.
- Monogrammed navy uniform sweater vest or monogrammed navy uniform v-neck pullover sweater.
- Quarter Zip: Monogrammed navy uniform quarter zip may be worn instead of the sweater except on formal uniform days, may be purchases from the school store.
- Leg wear: white socks above the ankle (no logos), white knee-highs or white tights.
- Navy leggings or white tights may be worn with the uniform skirt.
- Shoes: dark brown shoes or loafers (ankle or below) in good condition with no more than 1 1/2” heels. No clogs, tennis shoes or backless shoes are allowed. Shoelaces must be dark brown. No slippers or moccasins may be worn as part of the uniform. See examples of the correct shoes.

Out of Uniform Days
- Out of uniform days exclude ripped or torn clothing, short shorts and cutoffs (any shorts must be at finger tip or below). Students’ shoulders and midriffs are to be covered. Students are to dress modestly and appropriately at all times.
