Lower School Director's Notes
A message from Lower School Director Erin Nemetz:

Greetings Lower School Families,

It is hard to believe that we just finished our fourth week of Distance Learning. Thank you for partnering with us as we strive to provide the best possible Distance Learning program and work to meet the needs of each family. We appreciate your hard work. It is not easy to be both a parent and the facilitator of your child's education. It is a privilege to partner with you. I found this newsletter titled "Help, I am a parent! Not a teacher" from the National Catholic Educational Association really helpful and offers really sound advice.

Connect with Families - Parent Calls
All Lower School families will receive or have received a call from their classroom teacher this week or next. We are eager to connect with you and to get your feedback on Distance Learning.

SHOW ME YOUR PETS! - A challenge from Mrs. Nemetz
Take a moment to view the videos of our Lower School Faculty's pets and favorite stuffed animals. You can also add a video of yourself with your pet or favorite stuffed animal.

To view and/or add your own video, follow the directions below:

Medical Masks Service Project Update
Our beloved Lower School Art Teacher Ms. Baca loves working in a place where she can practice her faith and teach what she loves. Along with teaching art, Ms. Baca and her family, including Amalia '18, Isa '19 and Nico (STA '21) are helping 3-D print face shields using 3-D printers from Vis. With both printers running, the Baca family is able to print about 10 shields a day and will continue printing until the need has been met. I am very proud of their work!

Public Libraries - Curbside Pick Up
Did you know that many of our local libraries are still open and you can check out books for your child? Many are even offering curbside pick up. This is a great opportunity to continue developing a love of literacy at home. Check out Dakota County Library Curbside Pick Up for some local information.

Photos of Distance Learning
Check out the wonderful photos below of this week's Distance Learning.

Please know that we miss and love your children! We want to serve you well.

My best,

Erin Nemetz
