Celebrate the 50 Days of Easter
A message from Kathleen Daniewicz, director of Campus Ministry:
The Sundays following Easter give us time to let Jesus' suffering, death and resurrection sink into our own lives. The Gospels for these weeks are full of Jesus' loving advice to his followers. The other scripture readings, from the Acts of the Apostles and the letters of Peter, tell the story of how Jesus' followers learn to live with his absence and his real presence.
As we move together through the great 50 days of Easter, I invite Visitation families to use this simple resource from Good Ground Press to deepen your understanding of these sacred days and to enrich your family prayer life with the brief but meaningful weekly prayers. While we find ourselves at home in the coming weeks, what could be more important than taking this opportunity to grow together in faith?
As an additional resource, you can find scripture readings for every day of the year at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops website. May we all be blessed with a happy, holy and healthy Easter season.
